Wearing Makeup
- Choose an establishment that will hydrate instead of dry out your pores if applying makeup.
There are various products designed for dry skin available on the market today. At the more expensive end are CoverGirl and Olay Tone Rehab Foundation and Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation from Revlon.
Since oil-based formulas tend to offer additional security, you should also have the choice to select an establishment which provides waterproof coverage (such as MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation) or all day protection (like Stila Stay All Day Foundation).
- Put an end to pollution of your skin by giving your cosmetics brushes an occasional gentle cleanse with an all-purpose cleanser. Doing this monthly will keep them free of oil, residue and debris that could end up polluting the surface of your face and may result in unnecessary skin reactions
- After each day’s end, be sure to remove your makeup in a similar fashion to how you cleanse yourself – do not go to sleep with makeup on as this could clog and increase the size of your pores if lying down with it on. In order to prevent irritations or contaminations, follow your usual cleaning practice when eliminating cosmetics as a means for cleaning yourself of potential contaminants or irritations.
